Merry Christmas!

It  has been a terrific week so far.  Doing my best to create some traditions and memories for the kids.

On Monday, I  took the kids to see Santa and then for breakfast.  That tradition started last year.  On the first day of vacation, I take the kids to breakfast.

Tuesday was Christmas Eve.  Robert had to go into the office,  but he ended up taking the boys and Roxy!  Yeah.  That gave Annalese and I a chance to prepare some of the food for our Christmas meals.  We started with our sweet rolls.  Then we made clam sauce, and our chocolate cake.  We prepared the  green beans and set the table.

At 2:00 our Christmas cards finally came so  they were sent a bit late this year.

Off to our Christmas Eve service.  Annalese was a sheep for the Christmas story. So very cute!

Wednesday, Christmas Morning.  Santa came!  Kids had a great time opening presents.  Then they spent the rest of the day playing with everything.  I made it to the gym in the afternoon then came home and prepared Christmas dinner.  The ham was so good.  It all worked out.

To end the night, Matthew went to bed a little early.  He was so tired.  And the rest of us played Monopoly!  The kids were a riot to play with.  They love the game.

All I want for Christmas is My One Front Tooth!

Can't think of a better time to lose a tooth than two days before Christmas.  The Tooth Fairy comes tonight, and Santa comes tomorrow!

10 Year Anniversary

Ten years ago at this time, we were pronounced husband and wife.  And what a journey it has been.  Ten years seems like such a long time, but it has gone so quickly.  So much has happened.  Can't wait to see what the next ten holds!

First Swim Meet

Annalese and Robert both completed in their first swim meet this evening.  And wow were they fantastic.  Both did so well!  Such a proud mother!

Way to go you two.  Keep working hard.

Matthew is 28 months

Little Matthew Man had a little birthday today.  He is growing up so much.  His big accomplishment though was swimming in the big pool.  He was even going under the water!  So cute.  Have a video of it on my phone.

Updates.

Well he like the phrase "get out of town."
His favorite book is Red Truck.
We say he is on a See Food Diet because no matter what he sees, he wants to have some of that food.
His vocabulary is growing every day and he talks in complete sentences.
He hates to get his hair cut.
He loves playing with Annalese.
He doesn't like to have anyone else help him except Mom.

Such an adorable kid!  Love you little guy.

Happy Mother's Day!

I had one of the best Mother's Day any mom could ask for!  I was up early preparing for a walk when Robert came into the mudroom and wished me Happy Mother's Day and gave me a big hug and kiss.  Then I walked for just over an hour completing four miles.  When I came home, Matthew came running to the door and game me a big welcome home hug and Annalese and Robert had made a number of cards for me with handprints.  I will cherish those forever!

We made it to church with everyone dressed in their finest and then headed to brunch at the Field Club where all three little ones behaved so well and grown-up.  I could not have asked for a better way to spend the day with my kids.  Thank you for being so wonderful!  Mommy loves you!

Happy 26th month birthday, Matthew!

Well you continue to amaze and thrill us.  So many funny sayings.  So many funny actions.  Right now you are on a See Food Diet.  No matter what we are eating, you have to have some!  It is so funny.  Glad that you have a diet full of variety.

Happy 2nd Birthday Matthew!

Matthew turns two today!  Can't believe it.  What a special little kid.  We had family over to celebrate on Sunday. I made his cake this year and of course it had to be a school bus.  He loved it.  So much so that when I placed it in front of him so we could sing, he took both hands and tried to grab the top of it!  Luckily we we are able to stop him before there was too much damage.  We next lit the candles and Matthew blew one of them out before we could sing.  So funny.  We made it through the Happy Birthday song and Matthew worked on blowing out the candles, but he leaned in very closely to one and almost caught his hair on fire!  He was so cute and loved every moment of it.

Today we helped Annalese and Robert get to school and saw the school  bus.  Then  mom went and worked out while Matthew played with friends in the childcare.  We are off to lunch with Grandma and Pap Pap.

So glad to have Matthew Man in my life.  He is such a happy child.  I can't stop smiling when I think of him.

Happy Birthday Little Man!

Love you.  Mom

He loves to kick a soccer ball around and bouce jack balls.  Matthew never walks--he runs and that little run is absolutely adorable!

Matthew started preschool on January 8th.  He was crying for a bit when I left him the first few times, but I just dropped him off this morning, and he walked right over to the teacher and didn't even say goodby!  I guess he feels comfortable now.  Good for him

I am sure I am missing other great things about him, but these are a good start.  Just love that little guy.  He teaches me everyday that I should be just as happy and carefree as he his!

Love you little man.
